The Kange coffee from Small Batch coffee roasters originates from the Mt. Hagen region of Papua New Guinea.
This fully washed lot is sourced from 50 smallholder producers in Mt. Hagen in Papua New Guinea's Western Highlands.
These farmers supply Kange wet mill and cultivate an average of 1.5ha of land at altitudes ranging up to 1,700masl.
Most coffee in PNG is grown by smallholder farmers around their homes, though some have larger farms with broader cultivation schemes.
This lot from the Western highlands is made up of Typica, Arusha and Blue Mountain varieties.
Approximately two-thirds of PNG's population make a living in the coffee industry.
