Roasting Shed Coffee Roasters Review

Roasting Shed are located across 2 locations in London.

The name is a testament to how they started roasting coffee in their garden shed.

The team understand that they are only as good as the raw coffees that they select to work with.

The personal relationships that Roasting Shed have with all their suppliers is very important to them.

Their importers, growers and co-operatives are all committed to producing excellent coffees but also to look after their workforce and ensure the environment is respected and sustained.

Building on this foundation they roast in small batches to ensure they preserve and enhance the delicate flavours of each individual coffee.

The coffee is washed using ‘Theresa’s natural spring’, named after the family Theresa, who first used the spring to wash coffee in the 1980’s.

This lot was sourced from Tropic Coffee, a company who upholds a strong ethical code and focus on sustainability.

They prioritise supporting female farmers through community training, concentrating on organic and shade-grown methods.

This is made possible through their contribution to opening a range of small field schools in local villages.

Plantations are intercropped with maise, cassava and bananas to maintain biodiversity.
