Speciality Coffee can seem very confusing. Washed, Natural, Hybrid, Carbonic Maceration.
It’s easy to feel like you’re trying to decipher a hidden code.
Danelaw’s goal is to help to demystify Speciality Coffee and make it more approachable, without losing those interesting stories.
David has bought, blended, roasted, tasted, sold, made and talked about coffee for over 16 years, from Welders in Wokingham to World Champions in West Hampstead.
They source great quality, interesting speciality coffee to help you get to the point where you’ll be able to make the coffees you love from your local speciality coffee shop in the comfort of your kitchen.

The Origin
The Nott coffee decaf from Danelaw originates from the Huila region of Colombia.
A single origin washed sugarcane decaf selection of Castillo Colombia and Caturra varietals grown between 1400-2000m above sea level, roasted to a medium-light colour.
High sweetness, bright acidity and a medium body with tasting notes of Lemon, White sugar and chocolate.
This coffee is sourced from the El Carmen in Huila.
Dave's least favourite time of day is the point at which he realises that another cup of coffee will stop him from sleeping properly. Which is what decaf is for.
Nott, taken from the Old Norse for night, is his Decaf coffee range.
The Sugarcane decaf method involves steaming the beans to open them up, treating them with a solvent called Ethyl Acetate, a by-product of sugar cane processing, to remove the caffeine and then drying the beans again.
